Managing Locations

You can add locations in bulk via the navigation bar on the right side of the screen. First, define how your location numbers will look like (want to know more about building location numbers? Take a look at the topic "Warehouse & Locations"!). Then you can generate all locations in bulk.

Suppose you've chosen the distribution: 'LETTER-CIJFERREEKS.LETTER' (with letter series ranging from A-Z and digit series ranging from 001-099). You can then add all locations in one go as follows.

With the separator 'dash', you can indicate that ranges need to be created, for example '001-099' will create a range starting with 001, 002, 003, … to end at 099. This preceded by all letters of the alphabet (A-Z). In this specific example, locations will be created in the form of:

A-001.A, A-001.B, …

A-002.A, A-002.B, …

…

B-001.A, B-001.B, …

Then you can select the maximum dimensions, maximum weight, and inventory type (if applicable).

Confirm this at the bottom of the creation of these locations. The system will create all locations. Depending on the number of possible combinations, this may take some time.

Editing Warehouse Locations

It is possible to edit warehouse locations. You can for example edit the dimensions of a location or adjust the inventory type (FIFO, FEFO, LIFO). Select the locations you want to change and apply the desired changes. Then click 'edit'. Via this route it is also possible to delete one or more locations.
